New build construction of a state-of-the-art laboratory for Coronet Medical Technologies, manufacturer of instrumentations specialising in ENT and ophthalmology equipment. The two-storey, 10,000 sq ft facility at the Highfield Business Park comprises high quality office space, extensive research and development laboratories, and clean room manufacturing suites.

The Russell WBHO team worked closely with the client to develop a contemporary design for a building which would bring together the company’s different disciplines for the first time from three separate buildings, and enable them to work both independently and collaboratively within the same setting.
With a steel frame construction, the façade is part brickwork, part-rainscreen cladding with a glazed screen to the front elevation and solar panels on the roof, all designed to help the building achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating. Russells was also responsible for the surface car park and landscaping.
