Russell WBHO can provide options and solutions for clients in this field, and quickly respond to changing requirements and legislation.
The environmental impact of the building is tracked from initial concept through completion, and on into everyday use. It can involve replacing raw, natural materials with recycled content, reducing energy use and pollution during construction, ensuring waste is minimised and recycled, and introducing innovative solutions such as solar panel installation and state-of-the-art heating and ventilation systems.
Russell WBHO pledges to take account of the following factors as part of the process:
- Reduction in carbon emissions in the design, construction and operation of the building
- The amount of waste generated in construction
- Amount of water used by the completed structure
- Procurement of materials from sustainable sources
- Minimise road miles for materials and suppliers
- Effects upon the local ecology
