Bringing New York luxury to China Town Manchester, conversion of existing office building into 42 apartments.
Refurbishment of existing 5 storey City Centre office block into a 7 storey apartment block, utilising the existing frame, extending it with a new steel frame by 40% with two new storeys
The location is where John Dalton (1766 – 1844) pioneer of atomic theory in Chemistry and colour blindness had his laboratory on the site – a blue plaque is retained on the façade.
The original red brick façade of the office block has been retained but repaired and tinted blue.
The windows to the front façade are in a crittal style windows to emulate a New York Loft apartment look.
