Eastbank
Restart of a distressed scheme for joint venture developer Manchester Ship Canal Developments, Eastbank comprises 110 apartments and duplex in two contemporary designed blocks, The Cube and The Mews, plus ground floor retail and secure car park.
Part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency, Eastbank is a flagship residential scheme in the heart of the Ancoats regeneration area.
Stalled due to the recession, the project was taken on by the new delivery team and completed within 15 months.
As the Cube, the 33 apartments forming the first part of the project, had been started by another contractor, Russell WBHO had to survey existing works and rectify that which was no longer fit for purpose. The scheme was a traditional build method with brickwork and blockwork.
