The Challenge
Four new build units comprising 70,000 sq ft retail space for Derwent Holdings, the national property developer, for tenants including Argos and Next. Each of the units is steel frame construction with large glazed panels and a natural rain screen system.
Anlaby, Hull
Customer parking, external paving and landscaping are included in the scheme.
The site was formerly a light industrial park and required some ground remediation and construction of attenuation pond with a volume of 900m3 and installation of 150 lm of concrete culvert. The pond was subsequently landscaped to form an attractive feature.
The project also incurred Section 62 highways works which saw Russell WBHO design and install new signalised junction from Springfield Way into the site, completed within the client’s timescale and budget.
