The Challenge

New build construction of an 8,000 sq ft Aldi unit plus groundworks and infrastructure for the wider retail site. Substructure remedial works including CFA piling and vibro piling and installation of tubosider storm water drain system.

Aldi, Heywood

Work to widen the junction of Rochdale Road to meet the demands of Section 278, involved installation of a new signalised junction into Roeacre Street, construction of new traffic islands with dropped crossings resurfacing along Rochdale Road, Roeacre Street and the Aldi entrance.

Russell WBHO also created a new footpath along Rochdale Road and lowered existing services to facilitate new footpath level and provided a new retaining wall to the rear of the path, within the client’s timescale and budget.
