The 302-room hotel in Cross Street is named as one of the Top 10 Best Budget Hotels in the UK, and is the best budget option in Manchester. It is one of only two in the city centre to place anywhere in the overall Top 100 ranking.
Motel One’s second Manchester hotel opened in June this year, four months earlier than planned. Russells Construction also built the brand’s first hotel in the city in London Road, named Motel One Piccadilly, which opened exactly two years earlier in June 2015.
Russells’ director Gareth Russell said: “The Sunday Times Top 100 list is extremely prestigious and it’s great to see one of our projects feature. It really is hard to believe this is considered a budget option, considering the high end interior design and I’m pleased that our early completion allowed the hotel to be open in time for this year’s judging.”
