Russell WBHO has successfully delivered its first full scheme for Village Hotel Club, marking a significant milestone in the growing partnership.
The project at Village Ashton combined a major extension with a full recladding programme delivered within a live hotel environment. The works form part of a wider multi-million-pound investment programme, supporting Village Hotel Club’s ongoing strategy to enhance and expand its UK portfolio.
Completed in November 2025, the extension introduced a new black box structure providing 48 bedrooms across four upper storeys. The new accommodation was seamlessly connected to the existing hotel via a purpose-built link bridge, ensuring full integration with the operational building.
Following the completion of the extension, recladding works commenced in December 2025 and have now been successfully handed over. The programme involved removing existing cladding and installing a new external wall system, including new insulation and new fire breaks and a compliant aluminium rainscreen façade.
The full scheme was delivered on time and within budget, with careful sequencing and coordination enabling the hotel to remain fully operational throughout, minimising disruption to guests and staff.

This project forms part of a wider programme of works for Village Hotel Club. The Solihull extension was completed in March 2026, with subsequent recladding works commencing in February 2026. Construction at Leeds South is progressing well and remains on track for completion in September 2026.
