Russell WBHO has extended its sponsorship with Hindley Amateur Rugby League Football Club (ARLFC).
Reaffirming our commitment to grassroots sport, we’ve extended our sponsorship of Hindley ARLFC for a further two years, taking our support through to 2028.
The renewed agreement marks the sixth consecutive year of partnership between Russell WBHO and the Wigan-based club. As part of the latest deal, all players will receive free match kits and new leisurewear, showcasing the club’s distinctive black and gold colours.
Hindley ARLFC continues to thrive as a community club, hosting 26 teams and supporting more than 350 players across open age, junior, and women’s squads – now proudly rebranded as the Hindley Hinds. The club’s flagship youth side, Hindley Stags, competes in Division 1, the top tier of the North West Junior & Youth League.
The new season kicked off in March with added excitement, including the launch of their new 360 player app designed for players, parents and supporters, and the introduction of the club’s new mascot, Howard the Stag.
Richard Sumner, Project Director at Russell WBHO and Team Manager for the U13’s Hindley Stags, shared his enthusiasm for the continued partnership. With his youngest son now entering his sixth season at the club, Richard highlighted the sponsorship’s tangible impact.
“The commitment from Russell WBHO to support our grassroots sports club is fantastic. As the U13’s Team Manager, I see firsthand how the quality equipment and kits enhance the playing experience and instil a sense of pride. The new kits look amazing, and we’re excited for our performance to match.”
