Russell WBHO has successfully delivered its first project for Village Hotel Club, one of the UK’s market-leading hotel and health & wellness brands.
The Manchester-based main contractor has completed the extension of Village Hotel Club Ashton in Greater Manchester. A total of 48 modern bedrooms have been added to the property, located just off junction 23 of the M60. Constructed across four upper storeys, the rooms connect to the main building via a new link bridge.
The works form part of a multi-million-pound investment and upgrade programme which has seen Village appoint Russell WBHO for three hotel extensions across the UK. Similar projects are taking place at Village Hotel Club Solihull and Village Hotel Club Leeds South.
Gareth Russell, Managing Director at Russell WBHO, said: “It’s fantastic to see our first project for Village complete on time and within budget. We delivered a full turnkey service, including the fit-out, creating stylish new bedrooms and upgraded amenities that complement the existing facilities.
“As the main hotel building remained open throughout, our team ensured minimal disruption to guests and staff, providing a seamless construction experience from start to finish.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Village Hotel Club, adding new bedrooms across its portfolio in response to growing customer demand.”
The Solihull extension is on track to complete by Spring 2026. Roofing and cladding works are now finished, and mechanical and electrical installations are progressing well, with plastering due to begin in early December.
At Leeds South, construction of the steel frame is underway and will be followed by the installation of metal decking before Christmas.
