Russell WBHO was appointed for the refurbishment of Manchester One, formerly known as the Portland Tower, by property owner Bruntwood. The project involved extensive external renovation including replacement of glazing panels and landscaping along the frontage.

Russell WBHO replaced around half of the glazing panels in the 21-storey building, replacing solar film, painting window frames and installing enhanced draught proofing. The external gable elevations were also refurbished.

An aesthetically pleasing, environmentally conscious landscaping solution was also employed at the front of the building. Russell WBHO installed new paving, railings, lawn and planted areas to create an enhanced public realm, including installation of 34 Silver Birch trees and associated irrigation.

With a portfolio of clients spanning the commercial, industrial, retail, leisure and residential sectors, Russell WBHO has the experience and expertise to deliver schemes on time and on budget.
