Contractor is acknowledged as a key supplier to the cold storage industry
Russell WBHO has become an associate member of the Cold Chain Federation. The move sees Russell WBHO join more than 230 other businesses within the UK’s temperature controlled and food storage supply chain.
Russell WBHO has been working with cold storage operators for almost 15 years, and has delivered more than 1million sq ft of temperature-controlled space for clients including Lineage Logistics UK, NFT, Manchester Wholesale Flowers and Manchester Fish Market, both based at Manchester City Council’s New Smithfield Market.
The Manchester-based main contractor has worked with Lineage to provide a turnkey planning, design and build service for multiple large-scale facilities across its network of 13 UK sites, including the award-winning Midlands Super Hub at Great Haddon near Peterborough.
Led by director Andrew Russell and project manager Jonathan Rhodes, Russell WBHO has created an expert cold storage project team which has developed extensive expertise in the field. The team works closely with specialist manufacturers and suppliers to design state-of-the-art facilities which meet clients’ very specific requirements.
Andrew Russell said: “We’re delighted to have been accepted into the Cold Chain Federation as an associate member. Having worked in this sector for almost 15 years we have honed a depth of knowledge which allows us to bring exceptional added value to our client’s projects.
“From sourcing sites and securing planning, to designing state-of-the art temperature controlled units which incorporate the very latest cost saving, space-saving, and energy-saving measures, our team has the experience to deliver the very best facilities for our clients.
“But we know there are always new innovations on the horizon and evolving client requirements reflecting an ever-changing consumer landscape. We must, therefore, stay on top of new developments and continue to expand our learning, something which we hope will be supported by being a part of this industry-leading organisation and the new relationships we can develop as associate members.”
