Graduates and students
It is our job to support the next generation of construction professionals by offering opportunities for training, development and employment for young people in our community.
Russell WBHO puts its money firmly where its mouth is with regard to training and development. We offer a number of opportunities for anyone with an interest in the professional side of construction, including graduate and graduate-training roles for project managers, quantity surveyors and estimators.
Primary among them is the Russell WBHO scholarship, a fully-funded pre-graduate training scheme offered in conjunction with Salford University. This offers school leavers the chance to learn ‘on the job’ shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced professionals, under the guidance of a nominated mentor, as part of a friendly and supportive team.
Alongside this, they will complete a part-time degree in one of a select number of accredited courses. The five-year commitment from Russells covers the costs of university tuition and provides a salaried position throughout.
A-level students and their tutors are invited to contact us to find out more information about the programme and the application process.
The business currently benefits from a number of employees who have completed the programme, including recent graduate Abbie Norton. To read Abbie’s story, click here.
